Hacis SuperLink China Direct Chartered Truck Service Extension

Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis) is pleased to announce the extension of its SuperLink China Direct chartered truck service. Starting from 1st July 2004, the chartered truck service will cover 57 destinations in the Pearl River Delta region (PRD), offering enhanced airport-to-door connectivity for freight forwarders and their customers.

SuperLink China Direct chartered truck service provides seamless onward delivery of import air cargo destined for the PRD upon arrival at Hactl's SuperTerminal 1 (ST1). Starting from 1st July 2004, the service scope will be expanded to cover 57 destinations in the Pearl River Delta region on a chartered basis. Freight forwarders can enjoy one-stop shop service including cargo handling at ST1, simplified customs clearance at ST1 prior to truck departure, and direct delivery from ST1 to PRD destinations. Reciprocal southbound trucking service is also available. The service adds value to the freight forwarders' business by obviating their need to transport cargoes to local warehouses prior to arranging cross-border delivery to the PRD, as well as the need to conduct customs clearance at Lok Ma Chau customs check point in Hong Kong, reducing transportation costs and delivery time. A complete range of truck types is available to suit different consignment sizes and cargo types, including air ride truck, temperature-controlled truck, and flat top truck, providing added flexibility to customers.

• Scheduled consolidated air-road service between SuperTerminal 1 and Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Shenzhen Baoan Airport, Guangzhou Free Trade Zone, and from Huangpu to 14 other PRD destinations, and also Fuzhou and Xiamen in Fujian Province.
• Cargo collection and consolidated trucking service from Hong Kong Airport Cargo Consolidation Centre located at Futian Free Trade Zone direct to SuperTerminal 1 for export.
