Hactl has once again been named “Air Cargo Handling Agent of the Year” at the World Air Cargo Awards 2022. Hactl’s latest success brings its total number of wins to eight throughout the sixteen years of the competition. The award was decided on the basis of online voting by the global readership of Air Cargo Week, and was presented live online, with viewers tuning in from all over the world.
In the 2022 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards, voted for by readers of Asia Cargo News, Hactl has also been named “Best Air Cargo Terminal Operator — Asia”. Hactl and its subsidiary Hacis have been honoured four times since the competition was launched in 2015. The AFLAS Awards honour leading service providers and are intended to recognise leadership, consistency in service quality, innovation, customer relationship management and reliability.
Hactl also scooped two awards at this year’s Supply Chain Asia Awards in Singapore. The “Supply Chain Innovator of the Year (Airport Operations Automation)” award was given in recognition of Hactl’s recent Automated Parts Store project: a robotic parts dispensing facility that issues spares around the clock for maintenance of Hactl’s giant automated cargo handling systems, saving engineers’ time and reducing machinery downtime.
Hactl also won the Supply Chain Asia “Air Cargo Terminal Operator of the Year” award, following a detailed submission featuring the company’s recent innovations, new technology deployments, IT initiatives, training developments and industry accreditations. Supply Chain Asia is a not-for-profit professional body that brings together professionals from the logistics and supply chain industry to share knowledge, learn from one another and create opportunities for collaboration.
Gratifying and humbling
Commenting on Hactl’s latest awards, Chief Executive Wilson Kwong says: “Hactl is once again highly honoured to receive these awards, following two years which have been extremely challenging for us — with disruptions to our operations caused by circumstances beyond our control, leading to service standards that have occasionally fallen below the high standards we set for ourselves. That our users nevertheless feel we deserve such recognitions is both gratifying and humbling.
“We thank all those who have organised these awards schemes, or spared their valuable time to vote for us. And, as always, I want to pay tribute to my wonderful team who carry on working through all weathers and overcome every obstacle to help keep supply chains running.”
