SuperLink China Direct Service Extension to Xiamen & Fuzhou

13th June 2003
Hong Kong

Hong Kong Air Cargo Industry Services Limited (Hacis) announced today the addition of Xiamen and Fuzhou to its SuperLink China Direct service portfolio. The extension offers daily scheduled consolidated trucking services from SuperTerminal 1 to Xiamen and Fuzhou via Shenzhen.

The new service enhancement provides a direct connection for shipments going into the vast manufacturing area in Xiamen and Fuzhou, which are the key cities in the Fujian Province in Mainland China. Similar to SuperLink China Direct operations in other service points, the new services also feature simplified customs procedures at customs checkpoints between SuperTerminal 1, Hong Kong-Mainland border and final destinations while cargoes are transiting in customs bonded trucks.

"Xiamen and Fuzhou are the first two SuperLink China Direct service points outside the Guangdong Province. The new service extension is a significant step forward in our continuous service expansion in south China. Introduced at our customers' request, the extension to Xiamen and Fuzhou enables them to take advantage of the cargo opportunity generated by the manufacturing sector in these two cities. Customers will derive benefit from our daily time definite service at a lower unit cost and enjoy full visibility of cargo data via Hacis E-logistics Xystem (HEx)," said Summit Chan, Managing Director of Hacis.

SuperLink China Direct provides a neutral platform of intermodal services to airlines and freight forwarders. In addition to the services to Xiamen and Fuzhou, it also offers scheduled consolidated air-road service to customs bonded warehouses at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, Shenzhen Baoan Airport, Guangzhou (Free Trade Zone), and 14 "to-door" destinations in the Pearl River Delta region.
